The guardianship unit is located in pleasant premises at Luleå Service Center and consists of an administrator, eight case officers, and a unit manager.

As a guardianship case officer, you will work with authority exercises and be responsible for cases related to guardianship, administration, and custody. Many cases are complex and require both good judgment and the ability to see the big picture – always with the individual's best interest in focus. In this role, you will work broadly, independently, and varied.

Among other things, you will:

• Handle cases related to guardianship, administration, and custody
• Make decisions by delegation and prepare and present cases for the board and district court
• Investigate complaints, follow up on representatives, and ensure that the individual's best interest is always at the center
• Recruit, introduce, and train guardians and administrators
• Collaborate with other authorities and administrations
• Manage ongoing administration and handling of records

This is a role that combines qualified legal work with meetings with people and a significant amount of personal responsibility.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for someone who wants to work with something that is both important and developing.

You have:

• Relevant academic education in law, legal science, or equivalent
• Experience in authority exercises
• The ability to express yourself clearly and pedagogically – both orally and in writing
• An analytical, structured, and meticulous work style
• A positive attitude, a strong willingness to collaborate, a solution-focused mindset, and a desire to contribute to the development of the organization

You are confident in your profession, have good integrity, and understand the importance of balancing empathy with objectivity. Experience working with vulnerable groups or guardianship activities is a plus.

The position is a temporary role and lasts until December 31, 2026.
